Linda Vang was the kind of Creative who made everyone feel like family. And while Linda passed away this year (2021), I’ll never forget her artistic eye, and these photos we took before Covid hit in early 2020. At this set, Keng, also a friend, Linda, and I were being creatives hanging out in the way creatives hang out- doing a shoot.
Thomas was amazing to work with, and was game to climb up to the top for the most breathtaking image! Hiking and photos is my favorite thing now.
I had Kaylee come into my studio to try on some outfits for a potential styled set not knowing when it would be. Then one day i woke up to beautiful fluffy snow. I texted her immediately, and we had the best time in the snow!
My wife and I were planning a trip to Red Rocks and I knew I wanted to take a couple of pieces to photograph. I got lucky and found Ashley, our model, on Instagram. She was so amazing to work with, and we got some incredible images with this ruffled skirt combo.
This set comprised several of the pieces that I’ve used over the years for styled work. I really love combining the different tops with the different skirts and pants. And I really hope that it helps people see how different a look can be if you change the top or change the bottom.
Sometimes you just have to ask your friends to wear some wedding attire you’ve designed, and go to the top level of a garage and take some pretty photos.
When working with wedding venues on editorial work, it’s become so crucial to work with spaces that not only accept queer love, but celebrate with a full heart. The folx at Willow Acres are those people.
