Megan contacted me after seeing the maroon suit I made for Kaylin, and wanted something similar but more her. This is my favorite request because I only want to make wedding clothes that make that one person feel incredible. No two people are the same, so your wedding clothes shouldn’t be the same either.
Megan, living in Florida, sent me detailed measurements, then came up for a mockup fitting, and then for a weekend in my studio.
The weekend with me is intense but so rewarding. When she first arrived in town, she came in for a fabric fitting. I pinned some changes. She and her Mom got to explore Indianapolis and the Indianapolis Basketball Hall of Fame Museum which was exciting for Meg cos she played.
When they came back the next day, I had made the changes, so they got to see where we were headed.
This second fitting was more exciting because it was getting closer to the vision for her suit.
Small, but meaningful, changes were made before I shipped it off to her.
It’s always so exciting seeing someone I get to work with marrying their love, surrounded by love.
